Assorted Honey Jars

Nothing added,

nothing taken away.

Local honey at its very best.

Welcome

Hello. We're Martyn and Aggy and, together with our bees, we make Humber Honey.

We specialise in small batch, single apiary honey harvested from our own hives and jarred with minimal processing to preserve its natural goodness.

We keep it simple. We look after our bees, extract the surplus honey they produce and gently filter it before jarring. We may occasionally warm the honey to make it easier to jar, or to decrystalise it but that's it. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

Humber Honey began with a single hive on our allotment in 2020. We simply wanted to learn about bees and hoped to produce a small amount of honey for friends and family.

One hive soon became two, then a few more, and somewhere along the way we realised we'd found something we love.

Nothing's changed, we now just have a lot more hives and a lot less spare time.

Trace your batch

On each jar of Humber Honey, you'll find a batch number. Each batch is harvested from a single apiary and typically corresponds to a single season, either spring or summer. The forage available to the bees in that period shapes the flavour, so each batch is unique to the environment it came from, varying season to season and year to year.

By entering the batch number from your jar below, you can discover the story behind your honey.

In an industry where honey is often diluted or mislabelled, this level of traceability shows exactly what you're getting and where it came from. We feel that's one of the many benefits of buying local.

See what our customers have to say...

"Lovely honey, really natural taste rather than the sickly sweet stuff you get in supermarkets."

Adam G.

"You can taste that it's not mass produced. Batch traceability is a brilliant idea, wish more food producers did this."

Diane R.

"We support local wherever we can and this is why. Absolutely delicious."
